BYD Battery-Box Premium LV BMU V2 – Control & Communication Unit for LVS/LVL (MPN: 13172499-00)

The BYD BMU V2 (Battery Management Unit) is the "brain" of the Battery-Box Premium LV systems. It coordinates charging/discharging, establishes communication with the inverter, and enables configuration, diagnostics, and firmware updates via Be Connect 2.0 . It is ideal for new installations and as a spare part in LVS stacks (4.0–24.0 kWh) and LVL 15.4 kWh .

Commissioning & practical tips

  • Connect the BMU, Battery Box, and inverter correctly; the BMU's Wi-Fi switches off after ~5 hours (press the LED button once to reactivate).
  • WLAN reset: Press the LED button three times briefly (~1 s each) within 6 s.
  • Important: Do not ground the BMU/Battery Box to the inverter; follow the instructions in the BYD manual.

Compatibility: Only for BYD Battery-Box Premium LV systems (LVS/LVL). Not for high-voltage series (HVS/HVM/HVL US).
